Round Circle began as a favor. My wife runs a dance studio, and years ago — before the easy, all-in-one tools existed — I built her a simple way for students to sign up and pay for classes. All I had was a database, some PHP, and a lot of evenings. It worked. And because the studio was in our backyard, students could walk right up and tell me what they needed. So it grew, one real request at a time, into something genuinely good at its job.
Two questions kept coming back: When's there going to be an app? and Can I use this for my own studio? For a long time I was too busy to take them seriously. But the questions never stopped — so I rebuilt the whole thing as software any studio can use, with the mobile apps people kept asking for.
Round Circle is built for the small studio that doesn't have the budget, the IT staff, or the patience for the big platforms — the owner doing it all themselves who just wants the scheduling handled so they can get back to teaching. It's mature, it's actively maintained, and it keeps getting better because of the studios that use it. We're in this for the long haul.
